LIC graffiti

Part of my trip to LIC last weekend included the chance discovery of 5pointz, a graffiti artist showcase. The entire building is covered with the work of probably dozens of graffiti artists, who have to get permits in order to paint in the space. It makes me wonder... does 5pointz ever get vandalized? And how can you tell?

I'm surprised the cat didn't have a tag or two.

I made it out to Long Island City last weekend to check out The Sculpture Center. On the walk from the G train stop to the gallery, I passed by what seemed to be an interminably long string of poorly named businesses.
