I use a Bayesian spam filter for my personal email account. In short, what this thing does is it learns over time what words are common among spam and assigns a probability that any particular email may be junk. The idea is that, loosely, spam is written differently than regular email, and word choice is a good way to pick it out.

So, this email made it through my filter the other day:
